The objectives of the project are to find solutions to educate young people about the stakes and importance of participating in the democratic process and civil society and increase their participation.
The project let’s vote is about finding ways to involve young people in the democratic process and in particular educate them about the role, impact and importance of voting.
So during the course of a few month, the partners of the project consulted young people and youth workers in each of the four participating countries: France, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain. They undertook user research to understand the goals, needs, wants, and preferences of young people and youth workers.
The following document briefly present the electoral system of each partner country, assess the situation of young people and voting in each partner countries, identify the challenges and obstacles to young people’s participation in elections and propose potential solution to involve them in the democratic process.
